Individual Mental Skills Training Programs

All of my individual mental skills training programs are tailored to meet your unique needs, but a few common mental skills that are often addressed in individual MST programs are: goal setting, anxiety management, pre-performance routines, imagery, confidence, effective self-talk, refocus routines, athletic identity, awareness, mindfulness, concentration, overcoming burnout, and coping with injuries.

In individual MST programs, you are not viewed as only an athlete, but a human being with worth outside of your performance. In addition to working through mental skills for performance, with interactive sessions, Brooke will also support you in your goals outside of sports as well. We will focus on the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, what is going right (in addition to the weaknesses you’d like to improve upon), and how to develop routines that place you in the right mindset going into and during performance.

If you’ve played sports for any time at all, I’m sure you have been told to “concentrate,” “relax,” “let it go” or something of the like, but I’m guessing no one has ever taught you how to do this. At Fuller Mindset our goal is to teach the how. How to practice and implement mental skills just like these mentioned. The key here is practice. Just as you practice physical skills, it is vital to practice mental skills if you desire to see improvement. Because of this, Brooke provides each athlete with a hard copy mental skills training guide to allow you to dive in even more deeply.
