You might be excited to get started or you might feel overwhelmed by it all! If you are looking for an AASP approved mentor for your sports psychology mentorship who can meet with you virtually, you’re in the right place.

After teaching at the collegiate level for over 10 years and running my own mental performance consulting practice, I have had a number of conversations with students aiming to become a CMPC. Whether it be about their degree route, the CMPC certification process, starting their own business or their theory of performance excellence, I have loved getting to support individuals who want to work in the sport psychology field.

If you are unsure of the steps you need to take to become a CMPC or want to see if we would be a good fit to work together, feel free to reach out. I would love to meet with you. CMPC mentorship services through Fuller Mindset are $100 per hour.

About Mentorship

Mentorship does not have to be cookie cutter. Maybe you are trying to learn more about schools that offer the courses you need for your specific goals. Maybe you’re aiming to draw awareness to your process, framework, and/or theory of performance excellence.

Looking at various techniques for mental skills, considering the business side, reflecting on cases, or asking questions. These are some of the things we can do as we work together.

How to Become a CMPC

  • The first step in starting your CMPC mentorship experience is to make sure we'd be a good fit.

  • Next you will schedule you first session. You will then be prompted to complete the Mentor-Mentee Agreement.

  • Begin speaking with coaches and athletes to get the word out that you are offering mental skills training services. Meet with Brooke once a week or every other week for our mentorship sessions. Our meeting frequency can be varied, but in order to stay focused on your goal of attaining your CMPC, I recommend these time frames.

  • You will be tracking your direct client contact, support activities, and mentorship hours along the way. We will work together to set goals to keep you on track to complete your CMPC hours in the time frame you desire.

  • As you get closer to completing your mentorship hours we will begin discussing how to submit your CMPC application and how to best prepare for your CMPC exam.

  • After you complete your hours, you will submit your application for approval to take your CMPC exam.

  • After you pass your exam you will then be able to begin working with athletes and performers as a Certified Mental Performance Consultant!
